You will notice that there is no introduction to this section yet.
It is our aim fill this gap with an introduction from a local photographer [or someone who is a frequent visiting photographer] for every one of the geographical pages on fatphotographer.net.
As a photographer myself I prefer to read something written by someone who knows the area well and can offer advice on the area from an insider's point of view. They usually know the best locations, not just the ones that first time or overseas visitors usually visit or that are well known outside of the area, and can often offer hidden gems.
Each introduction carries the e-mail and website address of the contributor so that photographers can get in touch with them if, for example, they are planning a trip [unless the contributor is unable to do this]. This can also bring you extra traffic to your business etc from those seeking the services of a photographer.
Please get in touch if you feel you can contribute an introduction to this page - you don't have to be an expert; I'm not!
Our sister sites, Fatbirder.com or Fatfisherman.com are regularly used by hundreds of thousands of birdwatchers/anglers when planning overseas trips or activities closer to home. Fatbirder.com gets over four million hits a month and has a high Google rating because it is an information resource that is both comprehensive and trusted, fatfisherman.com is fast approaching the same.
Help us make Fatphotographer.net the first point of reference for anything photographic anywhere in the world!
Photographer - Laurence Poh - Laurence`s Digital Birds

This site is a collection of bird pictures I have taken since Feb 1999 with the Nikon Coolpix 950 and Coolpix 990 digital camera in combination with a Leica Apo-Televid 77 mm spotting scope. All photos were taken by natural available light with exception of one nightjar which was lit by incandescent bulb. Most of the birds are Malaysian species with some foreign birds shot abroad. In Malaysia we have over 600 species of birds. Some are migratory birds that are seen only during the northern winter months. What I have here is just a small collection. In my own way, I am trying to promote Malaysia as a birding destination as the birds are much prettier in real life than my pictures can depict.
