You will notice that there is no introduction to this section yet.
It is our aim fill this gap with an introduction from a local photographer [or someone who is a frequent visiting photographer] for every one of the geographical pages on fatphotographer.net.
As a photographer myself I prefer to read something written by someone who knows the area well and can offer advice on the area from an insider's point of view. They usually know the best locations, not just the ones that first time or overseas visitors usually visit or that are well known outside of the area, and can often offer hidden gems.
Each introduction carries the e-mail and website address of the contributor so that photographers can get in touch with them if, for example, they are planning a trip [unless the contributor is unable to do this]. This can also bring you extra traffic to your business etc from those seeking the services of a photographer.
Please get in touch if you feel you can contribute an introduction to this page - you don't have to be an expert; I'm not!
Our sister sites, Fatbirder.com or Fatfisherman.com are regularly used by hundreds of thousands of birdwatchers/anglers when planning overseas trips or activities closer to home. Fatbirder.com gets over four million hits a month and has a high Google rating because it is an information resource that is both comprehensive and trusted, fatfisherman.com is fast approaching the same.
Help us make Fatphotographer.net the first point of reference for anything photographic anywhere in the world!

A selection from a collection of several hundred pictures, of which over 200 are already scanned. These images were taken in February 1993, during a two-week visit to several of the Kenyan National Parks in which we saw (and identified) more species of bird than previously ticked in over thirty years in Europe.

It could be argued that the Masai Mara Reserve is the greatest wildlife location in Africa. The Mara is situated in the northern most corner of the Serengeti ecosystem and is certainly the best place on the African continent to see and photograph lions and cheetahs. We will spend six days here of intensive photography focusing on the predators and their prey.

Sunbird Tours

Kenya ranks as one of the world's top wildlife photography destinations. Many of its birds and mammals are remarkably tame, when you couple this with the largest concentration of wild animals found anywhere on the planet, the special quality of light found only at these latitudes and a tourist infrastructure that is second to none, you have a recipe for a fantastic photographic tour.
