I love books, there is something about the smell of a new book that screams pick me up and read me. But when it comes to photography books, well... I have been known to spend hours sitting on the floor of bookshops below the photography section pouring over the works of some of the greatest living and dead photographers. If you are after inspiration then grabbing a book of the collection of one of the greats is a real boost.
When it comes to books on photography the list of titles seems to stretch for miles, there are teaching books written on virtually any photographic subject matter that you can conceive; books on how to run photography businesses or where to sell your photos once taken, there are even books to teach you how to pose your subjects.
Then there are the coffee table type books published to showcase this photographer or that subject, whatever you want in a photographic book there will be one out there somewhere to suit you, and in the unlikely event that you find a niche still unfilled, there are companies out there that will help you to self publish the book of your dreams yourself.
Our aims here are to list as many book stores that specialise in photography (as well as some that have small but interesting collections) as we can find, but as always we have attempted to link to as many retailers of photography books as we could find, but if you spot any we have missed, please let us know and we will endeavour to add them where possible.
